Thank you for joining the excitement that’s happening at The Salvation Army in Albany, New York!! In addition to launching our new website, we’re expanding our outreach to the community. As you click your way through our website you’ll discover that The Salvation Army is more than red kettles and soup kitchens. We provide services for all ages – story time for mothers and pre-schoolers, music lessons and after-school activities for school-aged children and teens, nutrition and finance information for adults, social activities for senior citizens, worship services for everyone, and much more!!
There are plenty of volunteer opportunities as well. We’re always in need of friends with expertise in cooking, computer technology, driving and many other skills. As we approach the Christmas season, our greatest need is for volunteer bell ringers to assist in raising funds to support our services. If you and/or a group of friends would like to be bell ringers, click the “volunteer” link and submit a registration form.
Whether you’re in need of a program/service or want to give of your time and talent to help others, The Salvation Army has a place for you. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to call 518-463-6678 and ask about it. You can also send an email to Lydia.Pearson@use.salvationarmy.org. Again, thank you for joining The Salvation Army family. We’re glad you came!
